New Features: Preset Image Cropping Aspect Ratios & Profile Field Autocomplete
We’re excited to announce two new Mythos features–Preset Image Cropping Aspect Ratios and Profile Field Autocomplete.
As always, please let us know if you have any questions!
About Preset Image Cropping Aspect Ratios
You now have the ability to preset multiple aspect ratios with the Mythos image editing tools for ease and consistency in cropping your images. You can also name each in a way that makes sense for the use case of each aspect ratio.
This is useful because it makes it really easy and fast to crop to a specific aspect ratio which is great for scenarios where your final output uses one or more specific image sizes. This feature ensures that each image is cropped accurately to the appropriate aspect ratio so you know that the image will fit, as cropped, within the image space in the corresponding output.
Once configured, it’s easy to use this feature. First you have to engage image editing by clicking to the Media tab on the Story, clicking on the image you want to edit, and then clicking the pencil icon on the left toolbar of the image box to enable the editing options as shown in the screenshot below.
Once image editing is engaged, click the crop icon to engage the cropping tool. This will display the default cropping aspect ratio. To select a preset aspect ratio, click the crop aspect ratio button and select the aspect ratio you want to apply as shown in the screenshot below. Once you’ve selected the ratio you want to use, simply click the check mark to apply the crop.
About Profile Field Autocomplete
When you configure a survey field as a Profile field, that field now shows a list of existing Profile fields as soon as you enable it as a Profile field as shown in the screenshot below. As you type, it will filter to any matching Profile fields based on what you’ve entered.
This is useful because it helps you easily keep your Profile field names consistent across surveys. Previously, you might have a Profile field for “Email” on one survey and another for “E-mail” on another survey. The benefit of that consistency that it promotes easy re-use in subsequent years for scenarios where a template may use that same Profile field–no update to the template will be required since the name of the field will be consistent.
